IMPORTANT!!!

Make sure you bring the 4 Mastery points AND 1 attack speed mark/(or leave it blank!) or the headbutt + auto combo won't work from level 1.

Also, TURN OFF QUICK CAST NOTIFICATIONS!! It is 100% messing up your headbutt + pulverize combo. Instead, consider mapping indicator cast onto a modifier key like shift or alt if you don't know the ranges by heart.

Gives consistent health+mana regen throughout the entire game at the cost of delaying your first "real" item.

Core Build

SheenTrinity Force

This is kind of all you need. the rest is going to be based on how well you're doing, who's on the enemy team, and various other game states.

Flex Items

Statikk ShivSpirit VisageThornmailHextech GunbladeInfinity Edge

Sky's the limit, yknow?

Summoner Spells

FlashIgnite

I'll test out other options, primarily fortify (because who DOESN'T love knocking the enemy into your tower at x2 speed?), but ignite is a usually vital source of anti-heal that it clears the other options.

Triumphant roar + refillable flask gives you enough sustain throughout the early game that teleport is kind of unnecessary. I'll test out other options soon, primarily fortify (because who DOESN'T love knocking the enemy into your tower at x2 speed?)

Unbreakable Will

Max and level headbutt first, almost always. Leveling E increases its mana cost so it's typically best to save it for last, since any AP we build will go directly into our health pool making the bonus heal not particularly useful.

Runes

  • 8× Mark of Attack Damagemark
  • 1× Mark of Attack Speedmark
  • 9× Seal of Healthseal
  • 9× Glyph of Ability Powerglyph
  • 3× Quintessence of Attack Damagequint

One, singular 1.7% Attack Speed is all you need from runes (for the Headbutt+auto combo)

The most important bit is 4 into Fury in the offense tree for 4% attack speed. This plus the Singular attack speed mark will get you to the attack speed breakpoint required for the headbutt auto combo.

Introduction

We're about to remind Riot why they made these changes in the first place

The only thing you need to know is how to auto attack somebody after you've just headbutt them. Be in range when you initiate the headbutt, then immediately right click your target to attack and then do nothing else. If you do it correctly, they'll fly away from you as you whack them from across the lane. This mechanic plus a sheen lets you win basically every engagement.

Everything else uhh... Work in Progress*

Didn't realize Alister needed only one attack speed rune and the 4 masteries to do the combo, good to know Also in response to your comment in the guide about the chapter positioning: I will look to change/improve the guide controls on the site to let you move the chapters above the build sections. I originally assumed having the items, runes, masteries at the top would help people who were in champ select but it does make more sense to just have it be customizable.

Ya his windup is too slow without any ASPD investment. No idea if it was like that previously but i've been enjoying labbing this out again. More attack speed helps make it more consistent, though. More customization would be great!
