Starting Items

you start with 475g
Hunter's MacheteHealth PotionHealth PotionHealth PotionHealth PotionHealth Potion

Pretty standard jungle opener.

You can choose to swap a health potion for a mana potion too. This serves two purposes, it's a hedge if you somehow lose your first blue buff and Eve can get low on mana even in the first clear, so it can have value there too. It might also just be useful at some point during the early game regardless.

Core Build

Spirit of the Elder LizardBoots of MobilityTrinity Force

This is your typical core build.

Spirit of the Elder Lizard is insane on Evelynn. You love all the stats it provides and you can apply the burn almost permanently with your Q.

Boots of Mobility are your typical boots of choice. These boots are very strong in Classic as they do not lose movement speed in combat. It allows Eve to pressure the map a lot in the early game which is exactly what you want. Later in the game, you can and should swap them to Tabis or Mercs depending on the game.

Trinity Force is your go to damage item. You use Sheen procs very well and the movement speed from Phage is great for sticking to people. Just a great item for bruiser Evelynn. Another more defensive option is Iceborn Gauntlet.

Flex Items

Iceborn GauntletRanduin's OmenFrozen HeartRunic BulwarkAbyssal ScepterSpirit VisageForce of NatureRylai's Crystal ScepterMejai's SoulstealerQuicksilver SashGuardian AngelWarmog's ArmorMaw of Malmortius

Bruiser Evelynn is insanely flexible in her build. This is one of her biggest strengths. You can adapt to virtually any game state.

As previously mentioned, Iceborn Gauntlet is an alternative to Triforce if you want to be tankier. The stats are also nice but you do feel the lower damage.

Most of the time after your TriForce, you will want to get tank items so you can frontline more effectively.

Randuin's Armor and Frozen Heart are both good options for additional armor. Randuin's makes you a lot tankier, but in some games you might prefer the CDR and mana from Frozen Heart. Knowing when to go what comes with experience.

For MR, you also have many good options. Abyssal Scepter is the most aggressive option. Since you still do primarily magic damage, the aura debuff is very handy and you like all the stats it provides too. Spirit Visage is good for the CDR and Force of Nature is for when you want to maximize MR for your gold. Knowing when to go what comes with experience. A general rule of thumb is go Abyssal if you are snowballing and Force of Nature if you just need to be tanky ASAP. QSS is also pretty much mandatory against champions like Malzahar and Warwick as you are a prime ult target for them. This also provides you with MR.

Runic Bulwark is also a viable option. Evelynn would prefer if another champion on your team can buy this, but if no one does, it's also totally fine to get on bruiser Evelynn. This item is just so strong that you need one on every team. It is very strong against heavy AP comps.

The options do not stop there. Eve has a lot of other viable items to consider.

Rylai's can potentially be a good option for sticking to people. It also gives a great mix of HP and AP. I am still testing this out.

Mejai's is just a great item for Eve in general if you are snowballing. Being a bit more tanky than pure AP Evelynn also allows you to keep your stacks by being harder to kill.

Guardian Angel is a very good item late in the game. Evelynn is a very scary threat even when she revives as she is a sustained damage dealer with this build.

Warmog's is an item I also need to test more. It gives a ton of health. The only issue is that it doesn't give any other stats and it has to compete with other great tank items.

Boots

Boots of MobilityMercury's TreadsNinja TabiSorcerer's Shoes

As mentioned, you most often want to go Mobi boots first. They are incredibly efficient for your early game. You can be where you need to be a lot more.

Eventually, you would swap these out for Mercs or Tabis depending on the enemy team comp. In my opinion, Mercs are often more useful. Especially since hard CC is very strong against bruiser Eve as she is a sustained DPS fighter.

In theory, Sorcs could also have their place in certain games due to the raw damage they provide. I would not recommend them most of the time

The defensive page allows you to be more sturdy against invades. This can be a good option vs champions like Lee Sin or Shaco that could try to kill you or mess up your first clear. The ward is really, really huge to avoid this.

It can also be a good page vs Nunu just to get some vision to gain information against his initial invade.

Introduction

Hey, I'm a long time afficionado of Classic League of Legends. I have played since 2010 and was a closed beta tester on Chronoshift (RIP), so I have a lot of previous experience with old school League of Legends - both somewhat recently and from the very beginning. During my league career I peaked in the top 1000 on the ladder on EUW.

This build is for Evelynn, who is a very strong jungler in Classic League so far. Evelynn is very strong as both full AP and as a bruiser. This build focuses on bruiser Evelynn. The bruiser build is generally better if your comp needs more frontline and it is also typically better if you want to solo carry games against worse players. In a high elo game where everyone is equally skilled, AP Evelynn is likely the better option in most games.

The guide is a bit barebones for now, since I think people are just looking for builds. I will add general strategy later if there is enough interest.

Have fun on the (classic) rift, my fellow summoners!
